A reader recently asked if I made references in the book to a "Space Elevator". I am somewhat familiar with the idea of the Space Elevator. The movement of water in the book however, uses unexplained technology for the movement of water into space. I think that a Space Elevator would be an excellent idea for our Species to use in order to initiate long range space travel.

Answering questions from readers. I was asked this week about driving forces in the books I wrote. Three things come to mind. The fantasy of a world with clean water for all. An energy grid that is very reliable. Recycling of all things used by humans. These basic ideas created the "Tribu" "La Ciudadela" and all of the characters in the two books. The best category for this book therefore, would be: Environmental Fantasy

I was reading an email from a reader and they asked me about my vision of the future. Our species is about to split as it did long ago. In the near future, there will be those that stay behind on earth and live out their lives here and take their chances. There will be people that venture out to the solar system first and then out to the cosmos. As time goes on these people will share very little with earthlings other than the common ancestry and past history. It will take a while for any colony to reach anywhere near the population of earth. The groups that venture far from earth will be very tight knit tribes or clans. Those people will reach a point in which they no longer want to maintain contact with earth and see little value in doing so. These pioneers will mirror the behavior of early colonist on earth that came to the "new world". I am looking forward to the first human beings that live on other planets, space cities and anywhere else that they can call home. Best wishes to any of you reading this, that will be space colonists.

Spanish version of Other Tribe Among Us is out. Tribu Agua Luz en Amazon Kindle

Readers of The Other Tribe Among Us will meet three new characters that will expand the story of not being alone on earth and of not being the most advanced travelers from this planet. In Tribu Agua Luz, there is a dream quality to a classic human tale of seeking to find a place in life and among others.

What is the holographic quality of this Universe? What is the city halo? Who are the holographic beings that Ta meets?

Tribu Agua Luz will be out in the next two days

I just submitted the Spanish version of The Other Tribe Among Us to Amazon Kindle. The title of the Spanish version is Tribu Agua Luz. The Spanish version will have more illustrations by Carl Grennes than the English version did. There are three new characters in the Spanish version of the book. Tribu Agua Luz is not just a translation, but rather a book with its own Spanish voice and style. I want to thank all of you that have sent me messages with questions and comments. Namaste

Very inspired by Mission Blue-Netflix-Sylvia Earle

Art imitates life and life imitates art. The real life work of people like Sylvia Earle is inspiring to me. It all starts with awareness, then action on a very large scale and finally we have a new world. I as one human being among many, hope that we all do our part to save our Oceans. I hope it goes from fantasy to reality.

Not explaining the science of the book

I have been asked why I have not explained the science of the book. Since I am not a scientist, I do not feel qualified. But just like you don't have to be an automotive engineer to drive a car, I take the science for a little ride in my story.

Answering why I wrote the book

A reader, recently asked me why I wrote this book. Humans fantasize about many things. In large part, this book is a fantasy about water and light. Part of the book came to me in a series of dreams and then I wrote the story around the dreams.

Answering a question about hope.

I had a reader ask me, if Sitacanta, a character in the book had hope for humanity. I think that Sitacanta saw possibilities for the humans in the book. When writing characters, they often times take on a view very different from the author's. Sitacanta has a way of seeing the world and humanity that is different from anyone that I know personally.

Answering questions from readers

I have had several readers of the english version of the book, ask me why I did not put any dates for when the events are taking place.

I did not write this book to make any predictions. Since the book is fantasy, I did not feel the need to have the book take place in a particular year. Science fiction books have sometimes predicted technological and even social developments, but gotten the amount of time it takes to attain these developments, quite wrong.

Trying to be true to what I do

For the first time in my life, I have stopped destroying the wasp nests that are built around my house underneath the eaves mostly. Since writing the environmental fiction books that I wrote this summer, I have decided that although I am nothing more than a fictional writer at the moment, that as an inhabitant of this planet, I need to be more real than my writing. Strangely enough, I have not been stung this summer, by a single wasp and I have not even been attacked. In years past I had been both stung and attacked by the red wasps. There are no red wasps this year. I guess my real test, will be if there are ever any red wasps that build their nests on the house I live in. I also now wonder where the red wasps have gone? A few years ago, I probably would have not written anything about flying insects. This is what happens to you when you write a few books and really start to think about things. I am just not the same after I write about something and think about it in different ways...

Life has many surprises.

This is a Environmental Fantasy

As humans, we fantasize about many things. Why not have a fantasy about a super clean and appealing environment? I bring you the reader, an environmental fantasy that you can expand in your own mind.

What do UFO's, Angels, Martians, Aliens and Ghosts have in common?

In my new book, I take a leap of fantasy. Poetic licence (not sure if I have been properly issued one, but oh well) and weave the common thread. UFO's, Martians and Aliens, were not much of a stretch in the fantasy world. I made a decision to include the Ghosts and Angels in the group. Enjoy the read.

This is a story for people that don't feel that they fit into this world all the time. This is a story for those that have lost hope. This is a story for realizing that things are not always as they appear. When reading this story always remember that this is fantasy literature with a little bit of mystery. The Spanish version of this book is coming soon.

Eons of Time

Fantasy has long been a link through out the eons of time. First with story telling, around a fire in prehistoric times, later using props and outfits, as is done in theatre. Finally with books and now the electronic version of books. I have done everthing I can do as a storyteller of fantasy, to provide you the reader with an escape from your hectic, fast paced life. To give you another place with other opportunities and interactions sometimes different than your own and sometimes not unlike what you might be experiencing. I start this novelette-length story with the premise that things are not always as they appear or as we have been told that they are. We often believe that all people think and behave as we do.  The sense of belonging to something, the desire of being accepted, runs deep with many. This is certainly the case with the main character Ta. From the opening scene in Chilean Patagonia to the arrival in the Ciudadela of Light, you will get to create in your own mind a new world of sights and sounds and playfully ask yourself that great question that plays out both in life and certainly in fantasy, what if? Enjoy The Other Tribe Among Us.

There is an illustration by Carl Grennes that appears on the cover of the book. There are also photos of Torres Del Paine in Chile where one of the important scenes in the book takes place. Photos of Puerto Natales, Chile where another scene takes place early in the book.
